A local grandmother who was allegedly scammed out of about $320,000 by her own grandson says she has been left “heartbroken” and penniless by the insidious scam.

As far as Lyn Newby was aware, her grandson Jack Endersby was taking the financial world by storm, having built a financial portfolio worth more than $2 million by the age of 21.

It wasn’t until last Friday that she found out the dark truth.

I was coming home and so I was packed, ready to go;  then I was given the news that my grandson had been arrested for fraud and eleven charges, and I knew straight away that was my money as well,” Ms Newby said.
