36-hour seafood marathon heats up as finish line nears
The heat isn’t slowing a 36-hour pre-Christmas marathon at Kailis Bros today.
Owner Theo Kailis joined Mark Gibson on 6PR Breakfast in the seafood market’s 25th-straight open hour.
“We are all counting down the hours, we’re all coffeed up and we’re ready to go!
“Just with circumstances, everyone’s getting in early, which I think is a great idea.”
Mr Kailis revealed there hasn’t been a quiet hour, as people working nightshifts have been flocking in the early hours.
“This morning, I got in at about 3.45 and there would’ve been about 30-odd customers.”
