New data from the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare has shown that 66,500 Australians were admitted to hospital for injuries sustained while playing sport in one year.

Sports Medicine Physician Dr Tom Hill joined 6PR Afternoons to discuss the increase in injuries sustained while playing sports.

“There’s data across young males are high-risk individuals and it’s got to do with risk-taking,” Dr Hill said on 6PR Afternoons.
