The East Perth lock-up has a colourful history, and 6PR’s True Detective, David Parkinson, told Perth Today host Simon Beaumont some of the terrifying and humorous stories from the facility.

Parki also revealed how he was charged with protecting the key witness in the Don Hancock and Lou Lewis murder investigation in the East Perth lock-up.

“I was tasked with the responsibility of ensuring that the key witness in that trial wasn’t murdered,” he said.
