Eagles skipper Luke Shuey has hit back at critics of team-mate Jack Darling.

Darling has been the centre of much discussion after Saturday’s game, but the team’s skipper says Darling is part of the reason of Oscar Allen’s success.

Shuey told Adam Papalia on WWOS every player goes through their ups and downs.

“He has served the club terrifically up until this point,” said Shuey.

“One thing he’s certainly  done is give Oscar a chance.”
