Australia’s potato shortage is forcing chefs to get creative
The recent potato shortage has forced restaurants and pubs to get creative with other vegetables to replace the spud.
From zucchinis to eggplants all kinds of vegetables are being used as potato substitutions.
Better Spuds owner Matthew Cocciolone told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live WA has some of the best potatoes.
“A lot of resesturants and bars.. in Perth are turning to the good old fresh potato for some hand cut chips,” said Mr Cocciolone.
