Damien Hardwick quits Richmond head coach role
Five days after Alistair Clarkson stepped down as North Melbourne coach, Richmond’s Damien Hardwick has followed suit.
In an emotional speech delivered to media this morning, Mr Hardwick addressed the playing team of Richmond and commended them for their success, as well as sharing how difficult the decision was for him to make.
The three-time premiership-winning coach said he believed his performance this season wasn’t up to his own standards.
