Australia’s taste for champagne has exploded, with the bubbly stuff now being quaffed at barbeques lunches and after work, bucking the trend as a celebratory drink.

Thanks to the rapid growth in champagne imports and sparkling wine production, Australia is now the sixth-biggest market in the world.

Mr Stelzer said.
