Rabies on the rise? Doctors warn travellers
Doctors are warning the public – specifically travelers – to watch out for rabies, which has rocketed back up to pre-pandemic levels.
Doctor Clay Golledge told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast rabies isn’t endemic to Australia, but there is the potential for it to be brought into the country from areas where the disease is rife.
“We get this sort of thing a lot: people go to the Monkey Forest and get an unprovoked bite,” Dr Golledge said.
