Channel 10’s decision to run a second feature on Brittany Higgins has been tarnished by the release of a letter sent to Lisa Wilkinson detailing how the former Liberal Party staffer had suffered during the drawn-out ordeal.

In a letter published this week, Ms Higgins told the journalist and Project host she was ‘not coping’ and any further attention would only exacerbate her stress further.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast the news backed up contention that the case had been sensationalised.

“It just backs up this picture that we saw play out on Sunday night where it looked like Lisa was on a crusade,” Mr Ford said.
