Childhood psychologists are avoiding giving sick notes for children suffering from anxiety, arguing parents are enabling the situation to get worse.

Child psychologist Michael Page told Karl and Gena on 6PR Breakfast allowing kids to avoid character-building experiences only exacerbates anxiety and isolation.

“We’re saying we want children to meet and accept life’s challenges, which they can’t do if they’re constantly removed form them,” Dr Page said.
