Man stabbed in front of his family ‘lucky to be alive’
UPDATE: A man in his 50s remains in a critical condition in hospital after a wild family brawl involving 20 people ended in his stabbing.
Nine News reporter Mia Egerton-Warburton told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings the brawl was apparently between a group of estranged family members.
“Him being the granddad, he’s come out to de-escalate it; I was told they were just looking to take their anger out on someone,” Ms Egerton-Warburton said.

A man who was stabbed multiple times in front of his children in a giant armed brawl is lucky to be alive after a neighbour administered emergency first aid as he almost bled to death.
The incident happened in front of a Parmelia home after 5pm Wednesday afternoon.

“He was stabbed in front of his wife, his daughter, her partner and I think their two teenage children,” Nine News reporter Mia Egerton-Warburton told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings.
The man was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital in a critical condition.
