WA Premier Roger Cook has backed a national public holiday if the Matildas win the FIFA Womens World Cup.

Speaking to Oliver Peterson on 6PR’s Perth Live, Premier Cook made it clear he’d answer to the Prime Minister.

“I’ll always do what the Prime Minister wants me to do, he’s the boss, if he wants to declare a public holiday good for him.”
