Eddie McGuire has claimed out the “humiliation” suffered by the West Coast Eagles in Western Derby 57 will be the final nail in the coffin for the long-suffering club’s coach.

“Trevor Nesbitt has told his board that he will not be looking for an extension or to continue as the chief executive tonight, and I can tell you that the board is contemplating whether to sack Adam Simpson,” McGuire said on Footy Classified.

Karl and Mick debated the apparent bombshell on 6PR Breakfast, saying both internal and external pressure has obviously tipped the scales following multiple claims of solidarity on behalf of the club.

“It’s not my job to expose people, but there were influential people who were not satisfied with what they have seen,” Karl said.
