Despite ongoing pleas to alleviate pressure on the increasingly dire rental market, WA is the only state to not adopt changes which would prevent landlords from evicting tenants without reason.

The National Cabinet Meeting in Brisbane this week saw a raft of options put on the table to deal with the housing crisis, but not all were adopted.

Western Australian Council of Social Service CEO Louise Giolotto told Gary Adshead onĀ 6PR Mornings

“But it’s still unclear whether or not they are going to consider the pivotal piece that we need around no-ground evictions,” Ms Giolotto said.
