P*ss take: WACA refurb to be urinal free
The multimillion-dollar refurbishment of the northern end of the WACA Ground will do away with urinals, according to proposed plans.
The decision has left many, including volunteer WACE board member Paul Collins, dumbfounded.

“In fact there are more cubicles for the men’s toilets than there are for the women’s toilets,” Mr Collins said.
“It’s not confidential; it’s what was approved. I’ve inherited it and the members have expressed concern.”
WACA CEO Christina Matthews said it was an attempt to build more inclusivity and “future-proof” the facility for changing notions on culture and privacy.
“But also having all cubicles gives us flexibility depending on events we’re having,” Ms Matthews said.
