The devoted footy fan has been commended as the AFL Fans Association’s Fan of the Year, likely both for her dedication and her stoicism against the usual vitriol Collingwood fans receive from other fans.

“I’m usually standing behind the goals, doing the ‘Woo woo woo’ that everybody hates,” Ms Saunders said.

“I’m know for my selfie stick; I’ve always got my selfies tick out at functions.”

The Tassie Saints scooped up the Supporter Group of the Year award at the ceremony.
