After nearly 500 shows, Mary Poppins will make its final stop at Crown Theatre this September.

Bringing a cast such as Jack Chambers as Bert and Patti Newton AM as Bird Woman, the show will run for six weeks.

Stefanie Jones spoke to Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast about taking on the role of the titular character and what audiences can expect from the famed musical.

“Mary Poppins is a very lush musical: it’s so extraordinary to witness, the scene changes are phenomenal,” Ms Jones said.

“We’ve got the cast on stage that you can see, but underneath the water there’s a crew that’s three times the size doing incredible magic for us.”
