New research reveals the surprising number of Australian video gamers
New research has found four out of five Aussies play video games Australia’s average gamer is 35 years old and has been playing 11 years.
Ron Curry from the Interactive Games and Entertainment Association spoke with Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR’s Afternoons and said the average gamer is just as likely to be your work colleague, someone you bump into on the street or…your grandparents.
“The fastest growing demographic for game players is women over the age of 65,” Mr Curry said.
