The new ‘superbug-slayer’ that could change how we fight infections
Researchers have invented a nano-thin superbug-slaying material that could one day be integrated into wound dressings and implants to prevent or heal bacterial infections.
Dr Aaron Elbourne is the Co-lead researcher of the RMIT research and told Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR’s Afternoons the material has been effective in healing wounds and fighting infections that can’t be treated with standard antibiotics.
