Tennis star opens up on healing trauma and harrowing eating disorder
Jelena Dokic is a household name for tennis fans around the country not only for her tennis stardom, but her troubled upbringing.
“I really felt it was important to fight that fight, and not even for me but for that 13, 14, 15-year-old girl watching and listening going ‘yeah I’m worthy’,” Dokic said.

The former world No. 4 in tennis, Dokic has opened up about her second memoir, ‘Fearless‘ which delves into the process of healing and rebuilding one’s life after grappling with mental health challenges and trauma.
“I really believed in talking about it all,” she said.
“I was erased, I was trained and I was taught to be silenced or else.”
