Elon Musk’s brain implant company Neuralink says it has received a green light from the US Food and Drug Administration to kickstart its first-in-human clinical study.

Many would be surprised to know that Australian-based company Synchron is leaps and bounds ahead of Musk’s Neuralink, and was founded in 2012.

Senior Director of Advanced Technologies at Synchron Gil Rind told Ian Blackley on 6PR’s Afternoons their technology is trying to read brain signals for paralysed patients.
