Government’s sheep industry assistance program labelled ‘disingenuous, disappointing’
The state government is offering WA farmers free financial and mental health resources to deal with the falling price of lamb.
Tony Seabrook the WA President of the Pastoralists & Graziers Association told Oly Peterson on Perth Live the government’s efforts are ‘disingenuous’ and ‘disappointing’.
“It’s window dressing with a capital W,” Mr Seabrook said.
He says the government has avenues to support local farmers but is doing little to assist.
“This offering is almost as if they’re throwing DPIRD under the bus to do the dirty work for them.”
