Dismal student behaviour catalyst for classroom reform
Education experts say the current state of student’s classroom behaviour is nothing short of dismal and requires urgent reform.
Director of Education at the Centre for Independent Studies Glenn Fahey told Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR’s Afternoons the unruliness of students is a direct cause of the teacher shortage.
“Australian classrooms are among the most disruptive and disorderly in the entire world. We rank at 69 out of 70 school systems – we’re basically at the bottom,” Fahey said.
