Images of a home-open in Ballajura have show evidence of just how desperate the housing shortage is becoming.

The property was advertised at about $450,000 range – at least $120,000 less than the median Perth price range – meaning hundreds turned up, including some with furniture already to move in.

Listed Estate Agents Sales Associate Mirella Dekkers told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings it’s a typical Perth suburban home, but the price and size probably drew much interest.

“We are all extremely busy at the moment, but this was something I’ve never seen before,” Ms Dekkers said.
