Chronic kidney disease is quickly becoming one of the biggest killers in global health.

With the UK facing a health pandemic around kidney disease, a leading Australian protein chemist is warning the public to heed the warning signs.

Proteomics International Managing Director Richard Lipscombe told Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR Afternoons everyone should take tangible action now or risk the same fate in years to come.

“We’re now able to detect the diseases three or four years in advance and if we can do that, then we can stop people going down this path,” Dr Lipscombe said.
