Ongoing violence and abuse has forced the hand of Kalgoorlie taxi drivers, who chose to strike yesterday following what they describe as a nightmare of a weekend during the Kalgoorlie Cup.

Twin City Cabs owner Sam Hussein told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast drivers are fed up with violence and abuse.

“We get bashed up, we get eggs thrown at our taxis, we get rocks thrown at us… it’s all happening in Kalgoorlie,” Mr Hussein said.
