‘It’s beyond disgusting, beyond words’: Albanese on Hamas atrocities
WARNING: DISTRESSING CONTENT
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has reacted to reports that Hamas has beheaded dozens of babies.
“It is just disgusting really, It’s just beyond words really how people could behave in that way,” he told Oliver Peterson on 6PR’s Perth Live.
“We saw all the atrocities committed over the weekend with young people enjoying a music festival and over 250 of them murdered. And now this latest news just continues to be beyond I think comprehension really, it’s just quite shocking.”
The Prime Minister responded to calls from opposition leader Peter Dutton to deport protestors on visas who attended the Sydney Pro-Palestine rally.
He also commented on claims that recently released Australian journalist Cheng Lei was a political hostage because former Prime Minister Scott Morrison called out the COVID situation.
And just days out from the Voice referendum the Prime Minister made an impassioned plea to voters to do what ‘every other former colony has done’ by acknowledging its first peoples and establishing a non-binding advisory committee which he says is ‘No threat to anyone’ with ‘nothing to fear here.’
