‘A disaster’: Bar1 rejects NSW plan to get rid of bouncers
The New South Wales government want to overhaul venue security after concerns bouncers are too “heavy-handed”.
The proposed plan would remove bouncers from nightclubs and popular venues, replacing them with roving patrols.
Owner of Bar1 Nightclub Malcolm Pages told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast it would be a “disaster”.
“Leave it over there and don’t bring it to WA… it’s a high need,” said Mr Pages.
