While taking time in Bali to recharge and avoid the never-ending struggle of trying to find a suitable home for her and her son, business owner Gabby Del Pio had a sudden realisation: why even go back.

It’s a sentiment felt by many West Australians and, while she does not want to separate her young son from his father and life in WA, she feels like staying in Indonesia might be the only solution.

“To be honest we’re having a great time,” Ms Del Pio said.

“It’s been a big shuffle and a big movement, but we’ve made it work for us.”
