Amazon secures ICC broadcast rights till 2027
Streaming giant Amazon Prime has purchased the broadcast rights to next International Cricket Council tournaments for the next four years.
Fans will have to sign-up and pay to watch Australia play, Adjunct Professor at Swinburne University and Sport Media Commentator Sam Duncan told Oliver Peterson on 6PR Perth Live “it might be a window into the future” of sports broadcasting.
“This is quite the deal I mean Amazon have now got the rights to a range of big events including the world cups and does mean if we want to watch we got to purchase the Amazon Prime subscription”, Mr Duncan said.
