Motorists urged to slow down at road works
Motorists are being urged to slow down when driving through roadworks on Tonkin Highway, the site has recorded speeding motorists 20 times the normal rate.
WA Road Safety Commissioner Adrian Warner Told Oliver Peterson on 6PR Perth Live he’s “blown away” with how people have been driving through the roadworks.
“This is an amazing level of non-compliance, I really don’t want people to give me that much money”, Mr Warner said.
“We are putting message signs up saying speed cameras are here slow down you will get caught but people are still getting caught at an incredible rate”.
