‘Stop peddling poison’: Twiggy takes aim at fellow mining and energy bosses
Fortescue Chief Andrew Forrest has come out all guns blazing against his fellow oil, gas and energy CEOs during the COP28 Conference in Dubai, including accusing Woodside CEO Meg O’Neill of “peddling poison”.
Mr Forrest talked with Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings about how the UN’s international climate change conference framed his own views on the future of energy production, and how groups like ExxonMobil and Woodside we’re actively putting humanity in danger.
“If I was Roger [Cook], I’d say, ‘Hey Meg, what about you give us the energy we want, not the energy which is going to poison us?'” Mr Forrest said.
“I mean, Meg, Roger, get up and speak to the troops mate. Find out if they’re really happy that you’re peddling an energy that’s going to poison the kids.”
