The closure of the Safe Night Space which left multiple women on the street last week has potentially found an acceptable solution, with Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas finding another much-needed site with Uniting WA.

The closure of Ruah’s Safe Night Space in East Perth last week meant there was no longer shelter for drop-in vulnerable women in the city.

The potential resolution is hoped to be in place before Christmas.

“Clearly our community has needed a solution for what has happened over the last couple of weeks,” Mr Zempilas told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings.
