Mayor of Cockburn Logan Howlett has delivered a decidedly outrageous response to claims the City was wasting hundreds of thousands of dollars on international junkets to music festivals.

Gary Adshead has been trying to understand how and why a proposed trip to Croatia for three councilors and the mayor himself was almost passed, despite the socioeconomic issues faced by residents.

“You call it a junket; I would totally disagree with that. We have multiple long-standing relationships with sister cities, and this is a part of that,” Mr Howlett said.

Mr Adshead could barely contain his frustration at Mr Howlett’s response, which seemingly admitte0d no fault in the plan.
