South Terrace in Fremantle has been crowned with the worst vacancy rates out of all the premier retail strips across the state.

Fremantle Society President John Dowson told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live it’s a disappointing shock to be at the bottom of the list and most likely due to the loss of some key players.

“The council has sadly neglected the cleanliness of the town, the streets are absolutely filthy and need years of work…It needs a bit of spicing up with a bit of diversity rather than just coffee and alcohol,” Mr Dowson said.
