The Saba Button Foundation is a small not-for-profit children’s charity that assists children and families to access therapies and specialised equipment right across WA.

It was originally established to help Saba, who had a catastrophic reaction to the flu vaccine in 2010, which is no longer available to infants.

Saba’s mother and Foundation General Manager Kirsten Button told Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR Afternoons there are certain requirements to get NDIS funding that don’t always apply to everyone, whether it be not yet having a diagnosis or plans running out of funding.

“We’ve noticed many kids who fall through those gaps…until their plans are adapted and relooked at we sort or fill those gaps,” Ms Button said.
