UPDATE: The Federal Opposition is again demanding the Immigration and Home Affairs ministers be sacked, over the release of around 150 asylum seekers.

One of the former detainees is accused of carrying out a violent home invasion which left a Girrawheen grandmother severely injured.

The 43-year-old man was on bail at the time, after allegedly breaching his curfew.
