North Sydney Bears set to revitalize NRL scene in Perth
Perth and Papua New Guinea are set to be the next additions to the NRL with ARL Commission boss Peter V’landys planning to bring back the North Sydney Bears by basing the club in Western Australia.
The ARLC are set to hold a meeting next month outlining the 18th and 19th teams to join the NRL by 2030.
North Sydney Bears Chairman Daniel Dickson joined Oliver Peterson on Perth Live to discuss the logistics and feelings around the decision.
“Perth and The Bears have been tossed around a fair bit…It’s just so nice to start to get to the pointy end of the ship i think, and if its to be the Perth Bears i think we’d all be happy with that,” Dickson said.
