Residents outraged at 37-hectare “exclusive” religious school plan
A $60 million school open only to members of a reclusive church is planned for Perth’s eastern suburbs, covering more than 37 hectares with 546 parking bays on site – almost four times the proposed number of staff.
The Free Reformed Church of Australia has more than 2000 members in WA, according to the latest census data, and operates five schools across the state that accommodate just over 1000 students between them.
Paul Speering is one of a group of residents opposed to the plan, and told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast the relatively massive development would completely change the neighbourhood.
