Eagles season “up and down”: Kennedy
The West Coast Eagles’ fate was left in the hands of their opposition on too many occasions says Eagles forward Josh Kennedy.
Kennedy spoke on 6PR Breakfast for the final time for 2017 to wrap up the Eagles season:
“Up and down… we were inconsistent through the year, a lot of our game we were up and ended up losing them towards the last end of the quarters. We just couldn’t get the job done on a few which put us in a position where we were relying on other teams and just scrapped into the finals,” Kennedy told Steve and Baz.
He’s looking forward to a few more years with the club and says he’s expecting fellow forward, Mark LeCras, to be playing by his side in 2018.
“He wants to go on for another year; I’m pretty sure he does. We’ll probably have a few beers this week and talk a lot about it, I’ll probably get him in an arm wrestle to make sure they he is going to be playing next year because I’d love to have him for another year,” he joked.
