Perth mother Savannah Fan Van Heusben is warning others about the dangers of hot water bottles after her hot water bottle burst, spilling boiling water on her and her six month old baby.

Hot water bottles are not recommended to be used after 12 months, yet no-one seems to be aware of the danger, despite reports of increased incidents turning up at hospitals. 

Ms Fan Van Huesben told Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR Afternoons she hoped her warning would help prevent more serious incidents from seemingly mundane bottles.
