A former flying doctor has been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia as part of the King’s Birthday honours.

Dr Stephan Langford OAM, says he’s very humbled by the award.

“I’m quite proud that after about a decade of lobbying, we managed to get the first flying doctor jet in Australia and we got it here for Western Australia,” he told Russell Collett, filling in for Julie-Anne Sprague
