Young people say they feel ‘safe and capable’ of using their phone while driving
A release from Budget Direct Car insurance found ‘as many as 1 in 5 young Aussies (aged 18-37) say they have no problem using their mobile device while behind the wheel, because they feel ‘capable and safe’ doing so.
Director of the WA Centre for Road Safety Research, Professor Teresa Senserrick told Oly Peterson on Perth Live even being on a hands free phone call triples the risk of an accident.
