The Kwinana Council has approved a street sign bearing a term that is a racial slur in South Africa and has led to people being jailed overseas when used.

Mayor Peter Feasey from the City of Kwinana explained to 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl how this offensive word was approved.

“This has passed across many people’s desks before it reached us, so to be quite frank, I’m surprised it got this far,” he said.
