Bookies using the Melbourne Cup as a recruitment drive
On the eve of the race that stops a nation, experts are warning about the dangers of gambling on the Melbourne Cup.
Dr Charles Livingstone from Monash University explains to 6PR’s Gary Adshead the concerns surrounding gambling apps and their aggressive marketing.
“The problem is that the bookies use events like the Melbourne Cup as massive recruitment drives,” he said.
