Gary is perplexed why regional WA leads the nation in meth consumption
A wastewater drug monitoring program has revealed that regional WA has the highest incidence of methamphetamine use in Australia, and 6PR’s Gary Adshead wants to know why.
Tabitha Corser from Whitehaven Clinic explained that, although this is a multi-faceted issue, one outstanding factor is a lack of connection and purpose.
“The more we’re able to get people connecting with community, giving them meaningful work, purpose, and a sense of belonging, the better our outcome is always going to be,” she said.
