Miracle glue sealing wounds
Wait times in emergency departments could be cut with the use of a new “squirtable” elastic surgical glue that can seal wounds in 60 seconds without the need for stitches.
The miracle glue uses the same type of elastic material that we find in our body and can even help the wound recover quicker than if stitches were used.
“It uses a natural material and we’ve already shown in other studies is that the same type of protein can encourage wound repair,” Professor Anthony Weiss from Sydney University told 6PR Breakfast.
