Improved security needed for the homes of WA regional police
The police union is requesting that CCTV cameras be installed at the homes of regional police officers after three officers in the Great Southern region reported home invasions.
Paul Gale from the WA Police Union explained to 6PR Breakfast hosts Karl and Mark how vulnerable officers are in small regional towns.
“You have a town where everyone knows exactly where the police live, and, of course, if they go to the police station and no one is there, they will go to their house,” he said.
