Genetically modified deadly mosquito to be released in Australia
A genetically engineered mosquito has been designed to kill other specific mosquitoes and is set to be released in Australia.
Paul De Barro from CSIRO explains to 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Mick the purpose of these genetically engineered pests.
“What we want to do is to start using this mosquito to get rid of these very dangerous vectors of diseases like dengue and chikungunya,” he said.
